Description

A band of colored shapes converge in the center of the piece with two white squares being connected by dynamic black line which split and reflect off each other. The piece is set in a background of black and navy, and emphasis is placed in the center of the piece with the explosion of white and color at the center. The piece is extremely textured from the medium used, the layering of oil creates an almost carved look with the black paint, and the stippling of the black. The shapes further back in the composition feel almost as if they are glazed pottery with a black glaze slipping over each and revealing color underneath.
