Description

This woodcut of a fruit shop shows the life of people passing, vendors and fruit surrounded by tall buildings. Line, direction and mark making make up a majority of this work. The positive and negative space between the white and black make perspective strong in this print. The difference in the path at the bottom or the horizonal and vertical lines in the building showing differences. The figures are there due to the use of figural shapes and highlights. Same with the fruit. This is a woodcut due to the way the marks look and the woodgrain on the paper.
