Description

Wood engraving of as the title states the rite of spring. The two figures are holding hands in a scene of a nature scene with a night sky. The man and woman have these circular rings around their heads almost to indicate importance. The figures have little detailing other than the clothes they wear, but they are engraved stylistically. The border on this piece is lined with motifs of flowers and a tree in the middle breaking the border. The moon and the stars are finely engraved on the top right of the print giving some dimension to look as if they're further away. The base stands as flipping the positive and negative space to show the differnce in the grass/nature below.
