"Born in Chhatisgarh, in east central India, Prajapati studied at Kala Bhavan Visva Bharati University, West Bengal
and received a Ph.D. from Indira Kala Sangeet University, Chhatisgarh. He is a voice against social discrimination and handles his subjects with an economy of color, yet a radiant sensitivity. “Wounded Silence” seems to pictorially tell the story/dream of a young boy through symbols such as whirlwinds, pyramidal shapes and kites, while in this symbology bandages suggest wounds of an emotional rather than physical nature."
