"25TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW To commemorate our anniversary, we have invited artists whose work is represented in our permanent collection to contribute “anniversary cards” in the form of new artworks. As you can see, we received an overwhelmingly generous response. The exhibit includes the works of over fifty individual artists, in a wide range of styles, formats and media. All of these contributions will be added to our permanent collection as a commemorative portfolio. We arranged for the artists to create these artworks on papers from Twinrocker Handmade Papers. Located in local Brookston, Twinrocker has been instrumental in the resurgence of fine handmade paper use in the modern era. We are pleased to feature their contributions in a concurrent exhibition of artwork and “livres deluxe” produced on Twinrocker papers. “The Art of Twinrocker” is now on display in the Stewart Center Gallery. We are deeply grateful to the artists who have so generously contributed their efforts in celebration of the Galleries’ twenty-five years of service to the Purdue campus and the greater Lafayette area. We also want to express our gratitude to Dr. Robert L. Ringel, former director Mona Berg, former assistant director Michael Atwell, our many Friends of the Galleries, and to all of the student monitors, interns and volunteers who have played such a large part in the growth and vitality of the Galleries over the years.
