Hat with printed fabric and stitched ribs giving the illusion of embroidery. It has the same construction and ribbing as the afghan mazari cap which existed long before, but was popularized by political activist Manzoor Pashteen. Pashteen was born in 1994 and is a Pakistani Pashtun human rights activist from South Waziristan. He is the chairman of Pashtun Tahafuz Movement, an anti-war political campaign in Pakistan. Pashteen regularly wore a black and red mazari cap, which was eventually nicknamed the "Pashteen hat" and became a symbol of the movement. Could also be a quilted Uzbek cap, due its bright color scheme, stitching, and floral pattern. https://trc-leiden.nl/trc-digital-exhibition/index.php/afghan-dress/item/81-uzbek-dress
