"Born in Budapest in 1964 and educated at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Art, Budapest, Janvary cites the work of the 15th century printmaker Albrecht Dürer as his major influence. Now a resident of Reno, Nevada, he has been an art instructor at the University of Nevada, Reno, Sierra Arts Foundation and Truckee Meadows Community College. His “Anatomical Notes” seem to break down and peel away the anatomy of a human head, but with perhaps more of an eye to dissecting it as a mask for the psyche."
