Description

This woodcut relief piece shows a person, possibly named Joshua, lounging upon a sofa of sorts. Leaning on their left hand the right laying on the side. You can tell this piece is woodcut because of the rain and the round carvings on the shirt. The face is carved so that the figures face is easily identifiable as a person. The folds in the shirt, pants and blanket give this piece dimension. The pattern and texture of the couch in contrast to the figure makes the person stand out more. The print seems to be on a finer paper.
