"Nesbitt was born in Baltimore, Maryland.
He graduated from Temple University’s
Tyler School of Fine Arts and also attended
the Royal College of Art in London.
Nesbitt is best known for large scale images
of flowers that fill the canvas.
In 1980, the United States Postal Service
issued four stamps based on Nesbitt’s
floral paintings. He also served as the
official artist for the Apollo 9 and
Apollo 13 space flights.
