Cast bronze icon of the Archangel Gabriel. The icon shows a winged, clean shaven man with long curly hair. His head is inclined to the left and he is clothed in a long tunic and cloak. In one hand, he holds a scepter and in the other he holds an orb with the "IC" of Christ's Greek initials. On the reverse is a sticker left from the sale of the piece. This exists as a pair with 2005.02.124, and the two would have been hung on either side of a Deesis icon.

The Archangels Gabriel and Michael (2005.02.123 & 2005.02.124) are often shown together holding disks that bear the letters IC and XC, respectively. The orbs symbolize both worldly dominion and heavenly authority.
