The photographer captures the monument of Christopher Columbus in Genova Italy. The image is taken from an angle showing a wide road before getting to the statue. The statue is in two levels with the lower level sculpted with four pedestals of women on each corner. The center has a cylindrical pedestal that rises higher than the first level and holds Columbus and a half nude women at his feet. There are reliefs around each level of the sculpture and labels on the bottom of sculpture. People stand around the sculpture, but instead of looking at the sculpture they all look at the camera. In the background there are buildings that vary in height. Some greenery lines the sidewalk that the sculpture is on.Photograph Details
