"A painter, etcher and illustrator, Garrett studied art at the Academie Julien in Paris. Upon returning to America, he established a successful studio in Boston. His first prints were wood engravings and later began creating etchings in 1879. Garrett’s etchings deal primarily with architectural views and landscapes. Haddon Hall is a medieval manor located in Derbyshire, England, and dates back to William the Conqueror."
