Draped Divide, AEntry/Object ID
2022.11.06Description
Print with two buildings in the foreground, one of the left is a tan mosque and the one on the right is a blue, gothic struture, perhaps either a synagogue or a church. Between these two is a smaller building which has pepole standing on it's right side. It appears to be a run down cubed with Roman or Corintian columns at the left. Behind these buildings are two curatins in gold and red with the same mirrored image (from left to right of left curtain): 2 women, followed by 3 or 4 men. Between the parted curtain (center) is a group of 4 tall, sky scraper buildings suggesting a large city. On reverse side, printed along bottom in pencil "19/25, The Draped Divide, Matthew J. Egan, 2005"Collection
