Description

Original negative sleeve says: "same as Neg #496. View of overturned coaches from rear. (Derailment occurred at 8 AM, Sept. 4, 1911, between Hartford and Watervliet, Mich.) (Pere Marquette Pass. Train No. 13 from Benton Harbor to Grand Rapids, Mich., was derailed.)" Train wreck. The engine and some of the cars came off the track. There is a horse attached to a cart next to the wreck.
