True Blue Jenny Morgan Screen print Jenny Morgan is deeply fascinated by the concept of auras and aura photography, a form of divination akin to tarot or palm reading, which she stumbled upon in New York City’s Chinatown. These photographs are believed to expose a person’s inner life force or energy, often appearing as a halos or fields of color. In True Blue, Morgan has rendered the image of Siri, a favorite muse and model, in deep blues, reds, oranges and yellows. The colorful and graphically striking image evokes psychedelic posters of the 1960s and the serial screen prints of pop artist Andy Warhol. Unlike Morgan’s other models who are all friends and family, Siri holds the distinction of being the only model with which Morgan did not have a previous personal relationship. This distance has allowed Morgan to use Siri as a blank canvas on which to project and explore her own feelings and sexuality.
