"The son of a baker and native of Tlaxcala, Mexico Praxedis, by pure accident and as a twenty-year old, found the Taller de Gráfica Popular/TGP (Popular Graphics Workshop) in Mexico City. During 1974-1981 he was an active member of the TGP and between 1977-78 he attended La Esmeralda School of Painting. Through his expertise and teachings he has help to maintain printmakers collaboratives in several countries including Granada, Nicaragua; Mexico City, Mexico; Chicago, USA and in Montreal, Canada. While working as an art teacher, he won three competitions. This qualified him to receive, on a permanent basis, his art teaching salary and exhibition opportunities in state run galleries. Praxedis is a painter and printmaker whose works have been shown in collective and individual shows in many cities. These cities include: Tijuana, Tlaxcala and Mexico City in Mexico; Berlin in East Germany; Kahnawake and Montreal in Canada; Chicago and Austin in the USA; San Juan in Puerto Rico and Perugia in Italy. http://www.arceoart.com/praxedis.html"
