"Robert Carroll Ellis (b. 1923 ) is a printmaker and painter. He studied at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque (BFA), New School for Social Research in New York, with Abraham Rattner, Seymour Lipton & Adja Yunkers.. He has bee employed by many institutions, including the Library of Congress, Washington D.C., the Roswell Museum, New Mexico and the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, and the Seattle Museum of Art. His works have been exhibited internationally and in 1965 earned the artist the Theodora Shaskin Award for watercolor."
