Edgar Heap-of-Birds is well known for his "word drawings." This is one of the artist's "Neuf Series" of paintings and prints. The "Neuf Series" represents the beauty of the land seen as a complex, optical phenomenon, not as a composition. The colors of the land -- rock, earth, grass, trees, bushes -- are seen in passing, as they rush by in peripheral vision.
