Mural depicting agriculture and technology aspects of establishing Purdue University which was spurred by the Jusint S. Morrill Act of 1862. This came to be known as the "land grant" college. The images moves from horse-drawn agriculture to the Civil War featuring Abraham Lincoln and Justin Morrill at a mounument marked "The Land Grant College, 1862." From there the mural moves through the turn-of-the-century into the development and expansion of medical sciences, energy, armed forces, domestic improvments, space exploration, internal infrastrucure, and domestic/international trade/business.Type of Painting
