Rabbi Ingber raises the question of why Shavuot is called what it is, as the name really does not describe the idea of a pilgrimage holiday. But it does describe the weeks leading up to revelation. He illuminates that it does not describe the one brilliant moment of revelation but instead the preparation leading up to it. He then turns to the idea of showing up--whether it is for Shabbat, a person, or for the community.Archive Details
