Sermon : Parshat Chayei Sarah 2016 November 25Entry/Object ID
rdi-2016.11.25Scope and Content
Rabbi Ingber begins by alluding to Thanksgiving, which had just happened that week. He mentions watching a documentary on Amy Winehouse and the obstacles and challenges he faced. He then moves on to talking about Abraham and Sarah; and Abraham's greatest test in the sacrifice of his son Isaac. Abraham was given many gifts, but he also had to face many trials and had to rise up to face them. Rabbi Ingber concludes that although there are big issues in the world, it is important to rise up and take care of the smaller ones, too.Archive Details
