In the wake of the Tree of Life Shooting, Rabbi Ingber discusses the grief of the community and how it relates to the grief Abraham felt over the death of Sarah. He also related it to how hateful rhetoric can lead to these types of instances, brining up the bombing of the Hebrew Benevolent Congregation in Atlanta sixty years earlier and the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin. He brings up that the Rebbe of the Warsaw Ghetto compared salt to suffering, and that salt can make the meat sweeter and suffering can ennoble a person. But there can be such a thing as too much salt.
