Rabbi Ingber relates to the congregation his trip to Washington D.C with his son, where they visited the International Spy Museum and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. He takes the theme of deceit and hidden meanings from the spy museum and death from the War Memorial to relate to the Torah portion, it's deaths of Miriam and Aaron, and the laws surrounding death and the purification of those who have come in contact with it. He points out that the Hebrew word for death also means "to engrave," which he relates back to the names engraved on the memorial and what people have engraved into their lives. He also discusses the 10th Red Heifer as a portent of the return of the Messiah.Archive Details
