Rabbi Ingber begins with a discussion of the movie E.T., centering on his desire to go home from the strange land. He then relates this to Moses discovering that the Israelites had rebelled and were worshiping a golden calf while he was having a meeting with God on Mount Sinai. He then says that Moses smashed the commandment tablets as a way to show that nobody is perfect and "chose to smash perfection to teach a path to peace." Bringing it back to E.T., Rabbi Ingber says that God tells Moses that he will always have a home in his heart with God, using the term "Iti."Archive Details
