After lamenting the trials of parenthood, Rabbi Ingber reveals that the themes of the sermons will be leadership, journeys, and the number 7. After relating the story of a person who said they should not be rebuking Israel in public, Rabbi Ingber points out that the Hebrew Bible is in and of itself a rebuke. He then continues on discussing a confusing passage in the Torah that says Moses is recounting the journeys to their starting places. He goes on to say that a mature spiritual leader must recognize the good and the bad--that events can be both trials and blessings.Category
