rdi-2018.12.07Scope and Content
Rabbi Ingber discusses the idea that it does not always feel good to win, using the example of when Joseph's brothers come before him after he has risen to power, and they are starving from the famine. Joseph could have lorded it over them to make them feel bad, but instead chose another path in which they could learn their lesson but not feel defeated. Rabbi Ingber says that power should be used to help the powerless and lift others up--not put them down.Archive Details
