Rabbi Ingber begins by discussing a scene from the movie Do the Right Thing, in which a character discusses love knocking out hate. He ties this in with the story of Abraham, who he calls "Abraham the Lover." He discuss how Abraham challenged God on destroying Sodom and Gomorrah, as God is supposed to be about love. Rabbi Ingber then returns to recent events of the election of Donald Trump and that people were upset because they felt he was calling them out for voting for him. Rabbi Ingber explains that he was actually just calling on everyone to protect the vulnerable. He says that people need to come together and rise above partisanship for love to knock out hate.Archive Details
