The Eidah That Wouldn't Give Up: Shelach 2026 June 12Entry/Object ID
rdi-2026.06.12Scope and Content
The Knicks' huge comback in the NBA finals made possible by the eidah, the crowd, that didn't give up on them. Story of 12 scouts who went to assess the land, only Caleb and Joshua had ruach acheret and saw clearly. Others projected the smallness of their self-perception on others ("we were like grasshoppers in their eyes"). Midrash says God can forgive fear, but not presuming to know how they looked in others' eyes. Fear and negative self-image are contagious. The eidah of 10 became the minyan -- every minyan is a tikkun of the spies.Archive Details
