For Shabbat Hagadol, Rabbi Ingber relates the story of his visit to Berlin and seeking his Holocaust survivor father's childhood home and the great pain it caused. He relates this to the story of Joseph after his father dies, and he wants to visit the pit, despite his brothers' wishes not to, because of the pain it will cause. He also discusses an elderly Holocaust survivor who wrote her memoir of the times--essentially revisiting the place of the pain. Relating it all to Hagadol being the Shabbat before Passover, facing pain and difficulty is necessary to grow and become a more complete person.Archive Details
