Sermon : Parshat Vayechi 2015 December 25Entry/Object ID
rdi-2015.12.15Scope and Content
Rabbi Ingber opens the sermon by discussing how the final parsha in the Genesis cycle is a duality of light and dark. He mentions two deaths in the Romemu community and how it parallels the parsha in which two people will die--Yaakov and his son Yosef. And in the story, Jacob's name will change to Yisrael, and he will be elevated. He discusses the internal and the external and not knowing what is going on within someone. He emphasizes that to be truly spiritual, a person must close the gap between their outside and inside self.Archive Details
