Scope and Content

For Shabbat HaChodesh, Rabbi Ingber discusses the Torah's description of leprosy and how it would have been diagnosed by priests and not doctors--setting up a discussion of the difference between science and religion. This then leads to the new moon, in which the Torah does not say is scientifically determined, but by having two witnesses seeing it. It is thus a story that is told and not a scientific fact at this point.
