The Mini-Mitter II was a handheld 40 meter SSB transceiver, and was made by American States Electronics of Mountain View, California, a company owned by AI Clark, W61HY. The handheld unit used three ICs, 15 transistors, and had a Collins mechanical filter. PEP output was 4 watts, upper or lower sideband. A 75 meter model was also advertised. The transceiver was sold in kit form.
