Carmichael Communications' 432 MHz transmitting converter could be ordered with either 28 or 50 MHz IF inputs. It used a solid state local oscillator chain. A pair of 2939 tubes served as the mixed and linear output amp stages. Output was rated at more than 5 watts with 1 watt drive from the IF exciter. Power requirements were 225-250 VDC and 6.3 VAC.
