Construction of the Conar 452 synthesized two meter transceiver was part of the National Radio Institute correspondence school's curriculum. It was one of ten kits supplied as part of the school's Complete Communications Course. A series of lessons guided the student through the construction and testing of the transceiver. The price of the 452 was included in NRI's tuition.
