The Data Engineering keyer paddle was all solid state. It is not an electronic keyer, it is an electronic paddle meant to be used with a leyer. It had no paddle movement, no spring or contact-spacing adjustments, and no key contacts. The Feather Touch Key had touch-sensitive paddles, actuated by contact with the operator’s fingers. It had transistor output and a manual key/tune button. Note: Kantronics also made a keyer called the Feather Touch. References Brief description. Ham Radio, May 1972, p. 93.
