The 250-42 provided 6 dB of attenuation so that various exciters could be used to drive Johnson’s Viking Thunderbolt amplifier.The “-1” model shown here was made for the Viking Ranger and similar rigs. Models with other power-dissipation ratings were available for different transmitters.
