### Description
The SpecComm 560 is an "expandable" 5-watt 2-meter FM transceiver designed to offer state-of-the-art performance and versatility at an affordable price. Engineered with extensive integrated circuitry and a wide dynamic range FET front end, it provides high reliability along with excellent intermodulation and overload protection. It could be used mobile, as a base station, or over-the-shoulder portable with optional antenna and carrying pack.
Key features include:
A six-pole monolithic crystal filter operating at a 10.7 MHz single-conversion I.F. for superior adjacent channel rejection.
A low-distortion phase modulator with speech clipping (up to 12 dB) for clear, strong transmit audio.
A fully VSWR-protected final stage transistor, eliminating the need for complex shutdown circuits.
Support for modular clip-on accessories to configure the unit for portable (over-the-shoulder), mobile, or fixed operation.
Uses standard, readily available TR22-type crystals.
