The Tri-X-500 was made by Tri-State Electronics of Falls Church, Virginia. It transmitted SSB, CW, and AM on 80-10 meters. It generated sideband using a mechanical filter at 455 kHz. Power input to the 4X150A final was 500 watts SSB, 400 watts CW, and 300 watts AM.
