Hammarlund never made a sideband transceiver, although it experimented with one in the mid-1960s. A few prototypes of the HXQ-300 were constructed, but it never made it to the commercial marketplace. Instead, the company concentrated on separate transmitters and receivers, upgrading models already in production.
