A double conversion superheterodyne design. One RF, two conversion, and two IF stages. Audio output is 2.5 watts, "peaked for communications frequencies." Separate main and bandspread tuning controls, with BFO pitch, "full range" tone control, and a large 4.5" S-meter. Includes a phono input jack with front panel selector. Selectivity in five steps, see diagram. Early versions did not include 15 meters on the bandspread scale. Also includes a 500 Ω line out jack. Requires at external 3.2 Ω speaker.

Selectivity: 500 Hz to 5600 Hz in five steps
