(reference to "air to gound") The Airport Unicom Communicator (sometimes called the Ground to Air Communicator) is the same as the Communicator II except for frequency coverage, and the addition of a spring-loaded TR switch. Additionally, the tune-up controls, crystal, and eye switch are covered by an access plate, with only a push button crystal spotting switch accessible in normal operation. Normally supplied with a crystal for 122.8 MHz. The crystal multiplication factor is 18, using crystals in the 6.0 to 7.1 MHz range. The receiver tunes from 108 to 128 MHz.
