Johnson introduced the model 122 as an accessory for its Viking I transmitter. It was also suitable for use with similar rigs. Outputs at 1.75–2.0, 7.0–7.425, and 6.7–7.0 MHz provided coverage of the 160 through 10 meter bands, multiplying frequencies where necessary. The VFO’s tube complement was a 6AU6 oscillator and OA2 voltage
regulator.
