QST, Dec 1939, p. 92. Lafayette catalog number 78, p. 152. Receiver is a three tube regenerative tyoe tuning from 10 to 700 meters (428 kHz to 30 MHz) in five bands. Uses a 7C7 detector, and a 7C5 audio amplifier delivering 4.5 watts. Headphone jack on the front panel and speaker terminal on the back. Switch selects send, receive, or standby. Transmitter is a one tube band switching crystal controlled oscillator using a 7C5 to develop about 10 watts. A three position crystal switch permits operation on three bands, six band when an optional 7C5 power amplifier is added. Oscillator plate circuit uses a three position switch to select coils covering 5 to 10 meters, 20 to 40 meters, and 80 to 160 meters. Meter reads plate current to 150 mA. Power amplifier and modular kits sold separately.
