The Drake FF-1 provided crystal control for the TR-4 transceiver. The solid-state unit plugged into the remote VFO socket on the bottom of the rig. A switch selected either of two plug-in crystals. A second switch chose normal PTO operation, crystal control of the transmitter only, or control of both transmit and receive frequencies. The accompanying detail shot shows the FF-1 mounted on the transceiver.
