The last of the "Sky Buddy" series, which included the 5-T, the S-19, and S-19R (1939). The S-119 was the first product Hallicrafters offered as either fully assembled or as a kit (S-119K, $40.00). The receiver features a headphone jack, a built-in speaker, a speaker-headphone switch, and a built-in ferrite rod antenna for BCB reception. The mode switch is labeled VOICE - CODE, rather than AM - CW. Note small gaps in coverage.
