Radio, Jan 1938, p. 98. Radio, Jul 1937, p. 80. Lafayette catalog number 69, p. 103. Lafayette catalog number 73, p. 105. References Brief review: Radio, Jan 1938, p. 98. All three units were available as a complete package, or separately. Tubes sold separately. Top unit: antenna coupler Middle unit: Transmitter Lower unit: modulator The antenna coupler will connect to one or two wire feedlines. The transmitter uses a "Les-Tet" crystal oscillator buffer multiplier with an RK-37 final amplifier tube. Can be used with of without the antenna coupler and provides a "low impedance" output to the antenna. Bandswiching is accomplished by plug -in coils. Covers 160, 80, 40, 20, and 10 meters. Tubes: (1) 6C5, (1) 6L6, (1) RK37, (1) 83 The modulator has two inputs--a low level (85 db), and a high level (125 db) for simultaneous mixing and fading of crystal mic with a carbon mic, phono input, etc. A separate gain control is provided for each input. Response is 40 to 10,000 Hz. A multi-impedance output transfomer matches any RF load or 500Ω line. The secondary is rated at 160 mA max. Includes a one inch oscilloscope for monitoring modulation, using a 913 CRT. Tubes: (1) 6J7, (2) 6N7, (2) 6L6, (1) 83, (1) 913 CRT Power: 120 VAC
