General Notes

Note

The SP-99 was designed specifically for the HW-99 but was also later promoted for use with HW-9. This is mostly an empty box. The SP-99 contains only a 3 inch round speaker. It has a frequency range of 200-5000 Hz and will handle 1.5 watts of power. There is an interior styrofoam baffle. While the HW-99 disappeared late in 1987 the SP-99 hung on for a short while longer while supplies were sold off, and vanished from the catalog early in 1988. Finished in brown paint to match the HW-9 and 99. Maximum power: 1.5 watts Frequency response: 200-5000 Hz Impedance: 8Ω Magnet: 4 oz Photos, general information and specifications from "Heathkit: A Guide to the Amateur Radio Products," by Chuck Penson, WA7ZZE.
