General Notes

Note

QST, Nov 1955, p. 7. The concept of a "package" radio station was first attempted by Kluge Electronics in 1946 with the "California Kilowatt." Includes the SX-100 receiver, the HT-30 transmitter, and the HT-31 amplifier all in a rack mount console. The SR-500 nomenclature was reused in 1965 for the company's "Tornado" transceiver. This occasionally causes some confusion.
