General Notes

Note

GH-12 1962-1968 $6.95 GH-12A 1968-1978 $15.95 The GH-12 first appeared as standard equipment with Heath’s CB gear starting in 1960, and with the HW-10 and HW-20 in 1961. It was not sold separately until late in 1962. The original GH-12 was beige in color and changed to dark green with the “A” version in 1968. The GH-12 was sold without a connector but the “A” version came with a connector installed. These microphones are hard to find in good condition and with the old-style Heath logo intact. Note: The 350 was available with a crystal (350X) or a carbon (350R) element, as well as the ceramic element used by Heath. You should bear this in mind when considering the purchase of a non-Heath branded 350 out of someone’s hamfest junk box, or from eBay. The GH-12A vanished from the catalog late in 1978 and was replaced in 1979 by the cheap and nondescript HDP-1340.
