Radio Craft, Sep 1941, p. 169.
As far as can be determined, this device was advertised only for a couple of months. The model 142 is a tuner, rather than a receiver, so that it requires an external audio amplifier.
The tuning scale is marked from 0 to 100 (actually 0 again), so exactly how one tunes to a specific frequency is unclear.
There are 23 Individual push buttons for:
- 10 broadcast band frequencies
- 10, 13, 16, 19, 20. 25, 31, and 49 meter bands
- 2400 kHz police band
- 1700 kHz police band
-160 meter ham band
- 80 meter ham band
- aircraft (frequency band not specified)
Interestingly, with close inspection of the labels on the push buttons it appears that many are programmed for Canadian AM stations.
Beyond the IF frequency (465 kHz) no other specification were provided.
